Port City FC (1-0-0, +1 GD) vs Pensacola FC (1-0-0, +1 GD)

Last Week: 

In a matchup against the Gulf Coast Rangers, Port City FC was able to pull of a 2-1 victory at the Hank. The sole Rangers goal coming on a penalty in second-half stoppage time. Playing in Mobile, Pensacola FC fell behind twice to AFC Mobile before having a dominant second half and winning 4-3.

Past Matchups: 

Last year, Pensacola (then Gulf Coast Texans) beat Port City FC (then Biloxi City FC) 3-1 in Pensacola. The scores were reversed in Gulfport as Port City beat Pensacola 3-1.

Key Players: 

For Pensacola FC, Dillon Gallet is known for his speed and goal-scoring ability. Last week against Mobile, however, it was his playmaking that made the difference last weekend. Gallet was directly responsible for an AFC Mobile own goal and had an assist as well. Isaiah Lopez came into GCPL as a lesser-known commodity but proved incredibly valuable off the bench for the 59ers scoring one equalizer, assisting on another, and some seriously tough tackling throughout the pitch.
On the Sounders’ side, Jared Ardes will be heavily featured up front for the team. Last week against Gulf Coast Rangers, Ardes took his chances when given and had what would prove to be the game-winning assist. The Port City midfield will be led by Joao Victor who scored his first goal of the season off a stellar freekick last Saturday.
