AFC Mobile put on a show against Real United winning 4-1 for their first regular season GCPL win at home. Gulf Coast Rangers gave up a late goal to draw Baton Rouge United 1-1 at home.
Past Matchups:
This will be the first meeting between these two sides; however, a cold war has been brewing between the two clubs on social media for some time.
Key Players:
Some of the best talent playing in Lower Alabama will be featured on these two teams. Mobile will rely on current GCPL Golden Boot leader Chisom Ogbonna. Ogbonna has had two hat tricks in back-to-back matches, and he will be who the Rangers key in upon to stop the high flying attack of the Azaleas. Mobile will also find themselves reliant on centerbacks Markos Mallis and Guillermo Lumbreras Jr. who will have to matchup with a Rangers attack includes several options.
The Rangers have managed to pry away a few players from AFC Mobile. These young men, including Nathan Gillespie, Amos Ndikumana, and David Hall will be looking to link with Yan Linevu and spoil the first-ever “Battle of Lower Alabama” in the Archbishop Lipscomb Athletic Complex.
