GCPL Announces Second Division For 2021
New Orleans, LA (January 14th) – Plans for a second division in 2021 are in the works as the league looks to build on its developmental model and expand its reach to smaller market areas around the gulf coast.
“There has been a fair amount of interest from around the league and region to give this strong consideration” said league Executive Director, Sean Esker. “The demand is there for this to be a successful addition to our model.”
The second tier of the GCPL (Gulf Coast League 2) will feature many reserve, u23 and u19 teams from around the league and region.
“The second division will allow us to create a pathway for clubs in smaller markets while catering to our member clubs who are in demand for it” said league President, Jeremy Poklemba. “We want to give our clubs who have larger player pools a platform to further their development within the club.”
