GCPL Announces FC New Orleans As Newest Member
FC New Orleans has been announced as the newest club ahead of the 2019 Gulf Coast Premier League season, with the Big Easy based club set to compete in the Central Conference.
With an already established successful men’s team competing in the local ranks of New Orleans, FC New Orleans are aiming to translate their success on a regional scale.
“I’m personally pleased to have another ambitious club joining from New Orleans,” GCPL Vice President Jonathan Rednour said. “FC New Orleans has done what I personally have been wanting to see in New Orleans for quite some time, by offering a place for the other high level players (who don’t feature for Motagua New Orleans) in New Orleans to showcase their talents.”
FC New Orleans have announced, via their Facebook page, Antonio Tecero as their head coach for the 2019 season, which starts in May.
“We’re excited to be joining such a well respected organization, in the GCPL” FC New Orleans owner Omar Romero said. “We want to showcase what New Orleans truly has to offer on a larger scale. From the players to the fans, we want our success to represent our great city.”
