Central Louisiana (February 10th, 2023) – Crossroads Soccer Association (CSA) is proud to announce the launch of its rebranding initiative for its men’s and women’s soccer teams. After 10 years of competing in the Gulf Coast Premier League, the teams are evolving into the premier soccer club in Rapides Parish/Central Louisiana.
The teams were previously known as Pool Boys FC and Pool Girls FC, named in honor of long-time youth and adult soccer supporter and sponsor Ewing Pool & Spa. With a decade of elite amateur and semi-pro soccer under their belt, CSA is excited to take the next step in their journey.
“We are thrilled to embark on this new chapter and celebrate our rich history of soccer in Central Louisiana,” said Ian Ragsdale, president of Crossroads Soccer Association. “Our goal is to create a premier soccer club that is accessible and inclusive to everyone.”
Chairman of the Crossroads board, Robert Weeks, added, “We believe that soccer has the power to bring people together and we are excited to continue to grow the sport in our community — providing a pathway for our most elite players inspires the recreational and academy players while giving us a vehicle to engage with the larger soccer community throughout Louisiana and the gulf coast.”
CSA is inviting the public to participate in the selection process for the club’s new name. Voting is open on their Facebook page and Instagram story, and the results will be announced soon. You can also join their mailing list or become directly involved with operating the club.
