Alabama FC South views their entry into the GCPL as a significant milestone in their development as a prominent soccer entity in central Alabama. Having already seeing success at the youth ranks, along with a dedicated and ambitious coaching staff, they are poised to make a notable impact on the league.
“The YMCA of Greater Montgomery and Alabama FC South is excited to bring the Gulf Coast Premier League to Montgomery and Central, AL.” stated Manny Sanchez, VP of Alabama FC South. “This will be a great opportunity for our community to watch high level soccer competition and help continue the growth of our game in the River Region. We are truly looking forward to the opportunity to compete with the Gulf Coast area Clubs this summer and creating some rivalries for the future!”
The coaching staff shares this sentiment, acknowledging the opportunity to nurture talent while competing at a high level. “We are very excited and happy with the opportunity to join the Gulf Coast Premier League this Summer and play alongside soccer clubs with a rich history in the Gulf Coast area,” noted Mateo Peral, Technical Director of Alabama FC South. “We’re fully committed to the continuous growth of the GCPL along with providing our club with a pathway to reach new audiences within our city so we can develop talented players for our Senior & Youth programs.
